- They have been very busy in the process of making their debut album, Natalie also co-wrote 'Broken you' which is one of the songs on James Walsh's album.
We came across Natalie Lungley when looking at unsigned artists covers of Lana Del Ray's songs. We were inspired by Lana Del Ray's music videos because her style in her music videos had a slightly dark theme to it. Her songs are often very heartfelt and this theme shows this effectively. Natalie's music videos go with a similar theme. We were inspired by Lana Del Ray's music video summertime sadness, we liked he filters she used and the dark lighting in the video because it made it look very original.
Intertextuality references in music videos
Intertextuality is where one media text references to another. In this case, music videos show intertextuality references to the audience because people will be able to recognise where the reference has come from and will find it entertaining.
Robbie Williams- You know me
This video references to the story 'Alice in Wonderland.' He tries to show this in a humerous way to the audience by dressing as the rabbit which will attract the audience.
Madonna- Material girl
Inspired by 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes' starring Marilyn Munroe.
Madonna's used intertextuality in this music video to the film, she references the link to using her looks to get what she wants like in the film.

- The conventions for RnB are similar to the Pop convention, how they're presented with bright eye-catching fonts.
- They dress in expensive clothing, including items like gold chains and designer jackets and trainers.
- The settings of RnB music videos are often in night clubs, beaches or mansions, its all show off their wealth.
- They often include beautiful women in their music videos in provocative outfits which highlight their lyrics.

Music and Film magazine advert

Here is a magazine advert for Adele's '21' album. We are presented with an image of Adele as the focus on the magazine advert, we are able to recognise that it is Adele because many of the images of her she is showing a similar facial expression. Also the contrast of the black and white makes her stand out more. This colour scheme does often appear in her music. The colour scheme links to her '21' album cover, the album cover is presented on the magazine so that the audience knows exactly what it looks like so they can easily purchase it. She is looking away from the camera which makes her look vulnerable to the audience, this links to the music she makes which is based on heartbreak love songs.
Conventions of a magazine advert:
- The information like the name of the album and its release date is in bold letters.
- The image on the cover links with music video.
- Where you can purchase it.
- Recording company.
- Reviews on the album from possibly well known celebrities and big publishing companies.
The second magazine advert doesn't advertise her album but it advertises her as an artist. Adele is a very well known artist who is recognise for her heart felt music, she appears on a popular music magazine 'Rolling Stone' she appears very striking from the big voluminous hair and her striking makeup. The use of this is that it draws a lot of attention to her face, it gives little information about Adele on the cover which makes the audience want to read it more. Being on the covers of magazines like this will help to advertise her music because the public will see her music as very heartfelt which will make the audience curious to know more about her because many people can relate to heartfelt music.
Film magazine advert
Here shows a magazine advert for 'The Switch' a magazine advert helps to promote the film, because it often has short sentence to give an overall summary of the film which will get the audiences attention and persuade them to go and see it. It'll have brief important information on it, for example, the cinema release, who stars in the movie, directors and producers etc. The is a clear similarity between music magazine adverts and film magazine adverts, they are produced to advertise and appeal to the audience.
